Community Consultation Questionnaire

The Parks and Play Area Project Group have obtained designs and quotations for the redesign of the play park area, the installation of a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and the drainage of the playing field area.  The Gala is an opportunity to present what our park and playing field could look like.  Your feedback and comments are essential to taking this development any further; the project can only go ahead if it has majority support from the community.  Please take the time to give us your views through this questionnaire.

  1.  Do you think there is a need to install new playground equipment in the children’s play area?  Yes 67, No 2

 Worth noting that our sticker preference activity which included children also rated Design 2 as a clear favourite and design 3 as a second favourite

Range of comments including

  • Noise a concern for Neighbours of Park
  • Skate board ramp causes concerning noise levels
  • Noise reduction landscaping should be incorporated (promised as part of Skate ramp )
  • Concern re concrete and destruction of village green
  • More choices required in equipment to suit wider age range
  • More natural stuff
  • No fences round play-park
  • concern about potential vandalism
