Further to the article in the Autumn 2014 UDT Newsletter and the December Public Meeting, the Project Steering Group met with representatives of the Mure Hall Company and the Uplawmoor Community Council on 29 April 2015 to discuss its ideas on how the Tannoch Road end of the Mure Hall might be used to accommodate the library, computing cluster, meeting room AND a community shop. The UDT group displayed some drawings of how the space might be adapted with examples of the kind of furniture which might help make the space flexible. All present agreed it was worth pursuing the project further and so discussions are now underway with local councillors and East Renfrewshire Council and the Steering Group is drafting more detailed plans and costings to put forward for discussion with all parties.
